Carrying The Vision
Updated: Dec 4, 2023

EVERYTHING WE RECEIVE FROM GOD WE RECEIVE BY FAITH
Vision comes from God. Along with that vision comes a burden, provision, and the people who you are to connect to that who will help carry that vision to its fulfillment.
Vision is born in our hearts through prayer and daily bible devotion with the Lord. In our prayer times, God begins through the Holy Spirit to birth a promise in your spirit. He impregnates you with purpose through the Holy Spirit. A vision is born and a desire to see that vision come to pass. It will take FAITH to see that vision realized.
Hebrews 11:1 - Now FAITH is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Now FAITH brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.
FAITH pleases God!
Hebrews 11:6 - For without faith it is impossible to please God, for we must believe that he is a rewarder for those who diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11 gives an account of generals of FAITH who persevered in their faith and still did not see the promise fulfilled. They died not seeing the fulfillment of what was promised but through their life, we learn how to persevere in our lifetime to see the promise of God come to pass for ourselves and our children. God is a generational God and his vision for your life is bigger than just you. It will require generations to fulfill the promise.
You fighting the good fight of faith may very well be for future generations to follow. Persevere against all odds, persevere in trials, in shipwrecks, in persecutions like the Apostle Paul did.
Hebrews 11:7 - Noah was moved to action by FAITH, being forewarned by God of the storm to come, and began to prepare in the natural even though there was no physical outward sign of any pending danger on the horizon. Noah began building an ARK of safety before even the storm clouds were brewing. He took heed and diligently and reverently constructed and prepared an ark for the deliverance of his own family. By this (his own family which relied on God) he passed judgment and sentence on the world's unbelief and became an heir and possessor of righteousness (that relation of being right into which God puts the person who has faith).
Hebrews 11:8-9 By FAITH Abraham obeyed and went forth to a place which he was destined to receive as an inheritance, and he went, although he did not know or trouble his mind about where he was to go. Abraham was prompted or moved to action, by faith he dwelt as a temporary resident in the land which was designated in the promise (of God, though he was like a stranger) in a strange country, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs with him of the same promise. For he was (WAITING EXPECTANTLY AND CONFIDENTLY) looking forward to the city which had fixed and firm foundations, whose Architect and Builder was God.
These people all died controlled and sustained by their faith, but not having received the tangible fulfillment of God's promises, only having seen it and greeted it from a great distance. They saw from a distance the promise and from a distance they believed the promise and waited for its fulfillment.
These heroes saw with their spiritual eyes something not yet in the natural but they began building toward that promise.
CAN YOU SEE IT? Is the vision in your spirit? I believe it is vitally important for us to see the vision through our spiritual eyes both individually and corporately. I believe when we see the vision our giving comes naturally, our prayers begin to be directed toward that vision, and there will be a compelling desire to serve that vision against all odds.
The book of Nehemiah is about a vision and the leadership needed to carry out that vision. Nehemiah gives us life lessons on seeing the vision fulfilled:
Nehemiah positions himself in prayer
Nehemiah carries the burden for the destruction of the city of his Father's.
Nehemiah receives a vision to begin the rebuilding.
Nehemiah petitions the King to send Him.
Nehemiah petitions the King for the resources needed to rebuild.
Nehemiah begins sharing the vision with those who are helping him.
"Then I replied to them, "The God of heaven will make us prosper, and we his servants will arise and build, but you have no portion or right or claim in Jerusalem." Nehemiah 2:20
